Venue Spotlight- Tusculum Farm

This week we are highlighting a historic farm in Laytonsville, MD!

This 500-acre working farm was established in 1747. One of the original owners was a native Marylander, who was even present for the signing of the Declaration of Independence! The current owners, the Freeman family, no longer live on the farm, instead running a B&B and event venue on the property.

Tusculum offers a variety of spaces for any type of event- weddings, company parties, picnics, family gatherings, etc. The Barn offers a large kitchen space for catering setups, a mezzanine level game area (pool table, darts) large fireplace, and lower level theatre-style movie room.

The Freemans curated a large number of outdoor sculptures on the property, which are excellent for photo backdrops or as part of wedding ceremonies- or just for an outdoor art tour!

The Inn offers a number of options for staying on the farm, with use of their pool, tours, horseback riding trails, and animal visitors including the farm dog, Zeus.
