Picnic Venue Spotlight- Butler’s Orchard
Today we are shining the spotlight on our friends over at Butler’s Orchard! A local farm and orchard that offers Pick- Your- Own fruits and vegetables, trolley rides, and a five acre farm park playground with Barnyard buddies – goats, miniature donkeys, chickens and Charlie the pig.
Butler’s Orchard was founded by George and Shirley Butler in the 1950’s. They were one of the first in the area to offer Pick Your Own produce, and strawberries were the first crop offered. Over the years they expanded to include blackberries, raspberries, peas, cherries, blueberries and apples. Pumpkins were started by Todd Butler as a school project and this led to their popular Pumpkin Festival!
The Orchard also offers space for company picnics and events! If you are looking for an outdoor space to host a picnic, there is space for all types of outdoor events! They can provide activities like airbrushing, clowns, moonbounce, and all types of games- cornhole, tug of rope, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, etc. Food stations can include funnel fries, cotton candy, snow cones, ice cream cart and of course BBQ buffets!
Contact them if you have any questions about holding a picnic event, and check out Butler’s Orchard for good, green fun and local produce this summer!
